Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning

Portola System’s core principles are rooted in the 20 CIS controls, which we diligently practice and implement on a weekly basis. Additionally, we leverage our real-life experience and proven technologies in the field to ensure effective and robust solutions for our clients.

When We Talk Disaster Recovery We Mean It

During the tragic 2017 Sonoma County Wildfires, Portola Systems played a pivotal role in maintaining the infrastructure of the City of Healdsburg. When the city, including crucial facilities like the Police Department, lost all communications, our team swiftly responded. With some of the industry’s finest engineers on-site, we restored their operations promptly, ensuring continuity in critical services.

Moreover, Portola Systems proactively established Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) for neighboring cities facing imminent danger. We extended our support to local charities and businesses by donating computer equipment and swiftly connecting and activating systems for their use. Additionally, we aided in the data restoration efforts of other customers who suffered complete loss of entire data centers due to the wildfires.
